We are proud to support #ChildrensGriefAwarenessWeek, this year’s theme being ‘Building Hope.’ Our children’s and young people’s bereavement service supports children to express feelings through talking, play, and creative activities, including creating memory boxes #BuildingHope

space2grieve understands that every parent, child, or partner deals with grief in their own way

Grief can draw families closer together but sometimes it can pull them apart. Individual differences in processing grief can create tension in family relationships. As one person turns to the other hoping to talk, cry or share emotions, they may be distraught, experiencing the other as unavailable at that moment.

space2grieve can help a family to understand and support each other during this difficult time. Learning about grief and how it affects your family can help you get through the difficult times together. It may even help your family grow stronger.

we can help you explore ways to cope

Grief is a complex and individual experience, especially for children navigating these emotions for the first time. Providing them with tools and strategies to process their feelings is crucial.

At space2grieve we support the whole family. Our unique offering of face to face Parenting Through Grief sessions gives a parent/carer of children and young people aged under 18 the opportunity to discuss and explore how individual family members are coping.

The family can then choose to access our bespoke adult support sessions and our Children and Young People bereavement support sessions, should they wish.

We have a team of volunteer bereavement support specialists who are specifically trained to support children and young people across Richmond borough. All our volunteers hold an enhanced DBS check.

If you would like to find out more give us a call.

if you’ve been bereaved, no matter when, no matter how, space2grieve can support you.
